To maintain a high standard of professionalism, alessandro have decided that charging for training may limit the number of staff from any one nail studio/salon atending their intensive training course.

alessandro also want to make it clear that their profits and success are based on the strength of their products and not the monies from training.

alessandro policy regarding training is part of their long-term commitment to the U. K. market and in particular to the clients. We believe that to confirm our beliefs in the strengths and profitability of alessandro we must make a commitment to our clients. This is one way of demonstrating the bond we wish to make when a client becomes part of the alessandro "team".

alessandro also makes the commitment only to sell the professional products to clients who have completed alessandro training. This ensures that our high standards are maintained and quality is retained throughout the U.K. Only alessandro Licensed Technicians may use alessandro products. This means that "second-hand" knowledge cannot be used to train a person in the use of alessandro products. In the long term alessandro is committed to setting up regional centres of excellence to promote training and offer "local" help and advice.

This includes everything from our product range, customer service and support, right through to the finished result that you offer to your clients. alessandro carries this ethos through to their free training programme. It is vital to us that our new clients receive the very best in training, which suits exactly their individual needs. Whether you are completely new to nails or have an existing nail business, we aim to exceed your expectations and those of your clients!

The fact that there is no recognised national standard for nail technicians make the hiring of good technicians a somewhat precarious business. It is our aim to establish a bank of fully qualified alessandro nail technicians, whose training you know will be superior and whose skills you can rely on! Within our programme, we have also formed a basis for further training with a nationally recognised qualification. Our programme is geared towards attaining NVQ 3 in 'Nails and Nail Technology' or 'customer services' or 'business administration'.

alessandro's commitment to training is so strong that we have made it possible for each member of staff at any alessandro salon to take full advantage of the "free training" on offer thus eliminating the problem of "second-hand" training.

As new products and now or improved procedures are launched, alessandro assures that all our clients are invited back for free retraining. The training is structured in a modular format so as each individual receives only relevant training. By not charging for training we also ensure all clients take the modules that they require, not just the ones they can afford.

alessandro nail extensions are applied using a unified working method (the alessandro system) which is always followed. This means that:

- No matter what stage the nail technician has reached in the treatment, another nail technician can take over and know exactly what is required to complete the treatment to alessandro commercial quality.

- The client receives a "commercial quality" set of nails every time.

- All technicians working within the salon are equally able to complete a treatment so by helping to alleviate the "cult of personality" this should mean that salon owners can book a client into any table without the client needing a certain person to ensure a good set of nails.

- Effective training and solid methodology replace the need to be exceptionally creative to hide lack of training in the system. This applies to the natural nail treatments as well as nail enhancements.

- The support of our technicians is ongoing. We want to be close at hand should problems arise, as this is part of our commitment to you as a valued client. alessandro's training programme can be tailor made to suit all sorts of clientele. We cover five main areas comprising of the following:

Area 1: This covers the alessandro company profile, anatomy of the natural nail and hand, dermatology of the nail, manicure demonstration and practical, and an insight into gel nails.

Area 2: This manual involves a discussion of all the other type of nail extensions and how alessandro is so different. It also looks at tools and equipment followed by product discussion finishing with a practical on gel nails.

Area 3: Everything that you will need to make your salon that little bit more special. This manual goes in-depth with the alessandro product range, advertising and salon furniture.

Area 4: This covers nail diseases and disorders, troubleshooting, and follow-up treatments (i.e. infill).

Area 5: This covers aspects of running a successful nail business.

The modules are designed to be worked on over 5 intensive days but can be adapted according to special circumstances. Once the 5 days are completed, we will arrange for a revisit some 3-6 weeks later, this is to assess your progress with a view to issuing your Salon Diploma and License. Normally after at least 12 practise models have been completed.

We have taken great care when compiling these manuals to ensure that you our client gets the maximum benefit from the alessandro eduction program. We try to arrange for all our clients to complete the full 5 days as we go into many areas in great depth.

Experienced Nail Technicians and Qualified Beauticians
Automatic exemptions to certain aspects of training can be made based on qualifications and relevant experience, reducing course time to 1 day for a conversion, 3 days for adaptive training.

The alessandro Salon Diploma
The alessandro Salon Diploma is our seal of approval granted for an individual premise.
It is given on a rolling renewable and revocable basis. It is deemed as a license tocarry out all alessandro treatments and allows the salon to use alessandro products and the alessandro name exclusively within the salon.

alessandro do reserve the right to withdraw this license at any time if salons are found to be mis-using the product, or not following the application procedures correctly, or any other matter which is found to be compromising the integrity of alessandro.

Salon Diplomas are not available for purchase: they are renewable on a roiling basis. They are actually provided on loan and must be returned when requested.

Salon Diplomas can only be awarded when an alessandro training course has been completed and an assessment visit some 4-6 weeks after training is passed. An alessandro qualification is worth having as it is officially recognised and only the alessandro system can get you discounted insurance with Salon Gold, the industrys' leading insurer.

The alessandro Individual License
All individuals working with alessandro products must be licensed by alessandro. The licence certifies that the individual has attended the relevant training and assessments and is competent to provide the relevant treatments or services. The license is renewable and revocable on a rolling basis. The license will be revoked if any matter is found to be compromising the integrity of alessandro. It is alessandro prolicy to revoke a licence if a technician fails to comply with the terms of their employers contracts and in particular giving fair and proper notice when leaving employ.

alessandro world also expect that if a technician who has been trained during the course of their employment leaves that employment within six months of training with alessandro that the technician should repay any travelling and training days expenses to that employer.

We at alessandro believe that with this system our valued clients will benefit as they are guaranteed to receive a nail technician who has been fully trained by alessandro.

We will hope to ensure that continuity of skills and treatments is guranteed throughout the country.

To maintain your Salon Diploma accreditation, you must use only alessandro products when performing an alessandro treatment. There is no exception to this, to protect the integrity of the brand.

Exclusivity is only granted to exclusive users of the alessandro product range in "Concept Salons."

Exclusivity we can grant, but we can remove it, summarily if you use non-alessandro products.

Please note that alessandro sometimes invites people to become employees of alessandro and undergo paid training for purposes of becoming trainers and demonstrators, or to create a working nail technician etc. We never ever make this invitation to people who are in current emplyment.

alessandro undertakes through training of these persons great expense in wages, time, effort and product etc. If such a person leaves alessandro employ on bad terms, it is not possible for any such person to be subsequently employed as an authorised alessandro nail technician. In certain circumstances alessandro will authrise this after alessandro has been compensated for the training costs. In situations where a person has left on anything but the best of terms there is no option for this person to be licensed by alessandro.

Any time a licensed alessandro person leaves any alessandro salon without notice or via termination without notice their license is automatically revoked. This helps salons protect their investment in training.

Please rest assured that alessandro will always be looking after the interests of the entire alessandro family in the U.K. We fully support and encourage employers to give employees a full written contract.

Please note that to keep alessandro exclusivity with full salon authorisation only alessandro licensed persons may work with alessandro products. alessandro keeps a record of all licensed persons.

Please confirm with alessandro that a potential employee is genuinely alessandro licensed.
